Vattenfall-IT is the internal provider of IT for the entire Vattenfall Group, including Nuon. Vattenfall-IT is an International Staff Function that provides efficient and reliable IT-services and support. Vattenfall-IT has around 1.400 employees spread across Vattenfall companies in Denmark, Finland, Germany, Poland and Sweden.
The Organisation is divided into three departments: IT-Demand, IT-Supply and Group-IT. During 2010 the integration of Nuon happened with employees joining Vattenfall-IT in the Benelux. For our office in Amsterdam/Schipol-Rijk we are looking for a: System Designer Application Infrastructure.
Main responsibilities
As a system designer for the area of application infrastructure you will develop and maintain the infrastructure and application platforms for Vattenfall. Moreover you will provide the basis for application consolidation to help Vattenfall to reach its ambitious targets.
Main stakeholders are the different application development teams, the operational teams as well as governance functions within Vattenfall.
This position is located in the area of IT-Engineering and has a strong strategic focus.
Your background
You have a broad knowledge about typical application platforms. A good communication style is needed to ensure proper stakeholder management, especially towards application development and application operation.
- Academic degree mandatory in the area of Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science or Natural Science.
- IT Professional / Engineer with deep knowledge in application platforms (e.g. SAP ERP / HR / ISU, Oracle DB, BEA, Tomcat / JBoss, Livelink ECM)
- Proven knowledge in technical project management
- Good knowledge in ITIL processes
- Basic knowledge in TCP/IP networking
- Fluent in English, capabilities in Dutch, German or Swedish are a plus
